Crosstrain Kids

Training our children in the way they should go (Prov 22:6)

Children are a vital part of the church. They are not an inconvenience to be watched while the rest of the body “does church”. They are the church, a precious responsibility and privilege, the future of the church, the city and the world.

Train up a child in the way he should go;
even when he is old he will not depart from it.
-Prov 22:6

Equipping Parents

We believe parents are primarily responsible to train and disciple their children. We are committed to supporting parents as they seek to raise their children to know and follow Jesus. We seek to equip parents through gospel-motivated teaching and preaching, directing parents to appropriate resources, providing teachers during gathered worship times and creating an environment for the spiritual growth of children through our Discipleship Communities.

Teaching During Corporate Worship

On the 2nd, 3rd, and 5th Saturdays of the month we provide a children’s class during our corporate worship for ages 4-10. Through this class we seek to safely and creatively point children to Jesus each week by telling the story of God found in Scripture, reinforced with games and crafts. Childcare is also provided for kids below the age of 4.¬†All kids volunteers are interviewed and receive a background check.

Spiritual Growth In Community

Another way we seek to support parents in raising their children is in community by exposing them to diverse relationships of all ages through our Discipleship Communities. We believe it’s important for children to watch adults worship and do life together in true Christian community. It turns out the old proverb, “it takes a village to raise a child” is not far off from our philosophy of ministry to children.

Serve Our Kids

And calling to him a child, he put him in the midst of them and said, ‘Truly, I say to you, unless you turn and become like children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. -Matt 18:2-5

Jesus loved children and praised child-like faith. Serving the youngest in our family is a joy and a privilege. If you are interested in serving our little ones, please contact Aaron Rider. After completing a background check you’ll be contacted with further details.
